Hello from
Paradise! - My name
is Karen Goldsmith and I am a real estate agent with Remax on
the Coast and I am representing the greater Pensacola, Florida
area which includes Pensacola, Gulf Breeze, Navarre, Pace, Milton,
Cantonment, Perdido Key, Hurlburt Field, Pensacola Naval Air
Station (NAS) and Eglin Air Force Base. And, it would be my honor
to help you buy a home, sell a home or familiarize you with the
area by assisting you with a property search. But first, I would
like to give you a little more information about myself ...
“Working in your
best interest” is my goal and what
I want you to remember about me. This is how I reached that by-line.
I am the oldest of 10 children (yes, all single births). Born
in Evansville, IN in 19… to Jerry and Sharon Moss. I was raised
to be independent and hard working. My first jobs were cutting
lawns for the older folks in our neighborhood and babysitting for
the younger couples. Took a while to make $10 back then. During
my high school and college years when I wasn’t running
to a practice, coaching a practice or playing a basketball game,
I was working. I have done food service, was a bank teller and
then a nurse.
Spanning the majority of my adult life, was my nursing career.
I enjoyed critical care, specifically cardiac nursing and over
the years worked in many hospitals and in many departments. If
you can deal with sick, hungry, sleep-deprived patients and their
families, not to mention doctors, then you are qualified to handle
the stress of real estate.
My family and I moved to Gulf Breeze, Florida (greater Pensacola
area) in 2005, after Hurricane Ivan and before Dennis. What a
time to have to buy a house! The housing market was out of
control and we had to pay over twice what we had anticipated
when we committed to my husband’s new job before Ivan hit. Good thing I like
my house because we won’t be moving for a while. This being
said, I understand the woes of this housing market. I also understand
about relocation as I have done this several times personally.

With this in mind, my husband, Bill and I decided that I should
move into the real estate market as a career. So in late 2005,
I took my real estate course on line and in early 2006, passed
my licensing exam. All things considered, I have done well in
spite of the market decline and my theory on this is that I will
have the business that God wants me to have and I have left it
in His hands.
God and my family are my top priorities. I have 4 sons- Jarett,
Jamison, Daniel and Kyle- two in college and two in middle school.
I am passionate about education and the “system”. I
have been a volunteer at my sons’ schools, presently am
on the school advisory council at Woodlawn Beach Middle School (Go Wildcats!) and on the Gulf Breeze Education Task Force. We
attend Liberty Church at the Gulf Breeze/Navarre campus and volunteer
there as well. Presently, I am on the board of the homeowners
association in my neighborhood.
Somewhere in the middle of this, I enjoy real estate! I find
great joy in finding the right house for my clients or working
a contract to agreement. I look forward to helping you with your
real estate endeavors.
